Area Ambulance Service (AAS) is the regional 9-1-1 Emergency Medical Services provider for Cedar Rapids, Marion and 15 surrounding communities.
AAS is a community based, not-for-profit organization governed by a board including representatives from UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Hospital, Mercy Medical Center, the City of Cedar Rapids, the City of Marion, and Linn County.

Our Leadership Team
Financial Assistance
Area Ambulance Service has an established charitable financial assistance program. This program is calculated on a sliding scale based upon family size and annual income. Qualified applicants may receive a 10%-100% reduction in their ambulance bill.
